The landscape design complements the architecture of the buildings and the plant selection is based on species that are tolerant of Ballarat's climate and require no irrigation.
As well as complementing the architecture, other key considerations were the need to achieve 5 Star Green rating, avoid impact of tree roots on the buildings footings and access for maintenance and servicing.
