Thomson Hay Landscape Architects were engaged by Northern Grampians Shire Council to create an urban renewal project within the main street of Stawell. The project was strategically sited at the end of the main street and directly adjoins the town's war memorial.
Thomson Hay used terraces to deal with the moderate slopes of the site, whilst creating a number of distinct spaces. The spaces include an open lawn area, a shady urban forest and a multi-purpose community space with a light-weight contemporary arbor structure for additional shade.
